ADDITIONAL SICK / MEDICAL LEAVE TO EMPLOYEES OF RRBS
Government of India vide letter F.no. 8/ 6/ 94-RRB dated 07.07.09 has allowed additional sick leave to employees of RRBs as per entitlement of the employees of sponsor banks with effect from 19.10.2005.
In accordance with the above guidelines, an officer or employee who put in service of 24 years shall be eligible for an additional of sick leave at the rate of one month for each year of service in excess of 24 years subject to a maximum of three months of additional sick leave leave with effect from 19.10.2005. However the additional sick leave shall be credited only on exhausting normal sick leave. Other terms and conditions fro the grant of medical/sick leave will remain the same.
Necessary amendments have been made to the Pandyan Grama Bank (staff) Service Regulations (Officers and Employees) 2001 under Chapter VI Explanation to Regulations 60 for additional sick leave of 90 days to officers and employees who have completed 24 years of service with the approval of Board and the amendment is given in the annexure.
Branches/ Area Offices/ Departments are advised to take note of these changes and the amendment may be brought to the knowledge of all members and their signature may be obtained for having noted the contents.
